Arrival Day
Welcome to the traditional Scottish town of Aberlour, situated in the heart of Speyside on the banks of the River Spey. Upon arrival check-in to the Mash Tun Hotel and spend the rest of your day at leisure. Please note standard check-in time at the hotel is 15:00hrs.
Located in the heart of the Malt Whisky Trail in Speyside, The Mash Tun is a serene and picturesque establishment situated next to the renowned River Spey. With an extensive collection of Scottish Malt Whiskies, including the exclusive Glenfarclas Family Cask Collection. The Mash Tun is a must-visit destination for whisky enthusiasts. The food is freshly prepared and locally sourced, with a Scottish contemporary twist that is sure to tantalize your taste buds. The accommodation is equally impressive, with four luxury rooms named after local distilleries, including The Glenfarclas, The Glenfiddich, The Macallan, and The Glenlivet, as well as a luxurious suite named The Aberlour. Guided Salmon Fishing On The Majestic River Spey
Over the next two days’ you will be salmon fishing on the World-famous River Spey! You will be fishing on a private beat on the middle River Spey. After breakfast your Salmon Fishing Holidays Scotland guide will be waiting to meet and greet at the Mash Tun and then transfer you the short distance to the salmon fishing venue.
Your guide will be with you throughout your time on the River Spey, providing you with a unique service. He will give you advice on what tackle to use, point out the best salmon fishing spots, help you with your fishing techniques if required and fly casting. Today you will be visiting three of the best distilleries located in Speyside. The Aberlour, Glenfarclas and finishing at the World-famous Macallan Distillery.
