I just wanted to let you know that we have finished our holiday in Scotland, driving back as we speak. Our stay at the Alness was as beautiful as you said it would be and gave us a real understanding of this lovely highland river. The service we got from the gillie was exceptional the accommodation completely wonderful and we can't thank you enough for that ... The Thurso was full of fish the stay and level of service we had was exceptional. We had one pre breakfast salmon from the bridge pool, and during heavy rain in the last few hours on our last day, we caught a 15lb cock salmon on upper fence pool beat 2 which was the icing on the cake. With our highest regards.
I should have written before now to say that although we had low water and no fish I enjoyed my visit to the Alness very much. A lovely setting and an entertaining and educative day with Peter. A lovely present from the kids.
